I'm Thai-American, with Chinese and Vietnamese roots. Studied in the USA, earned a hotel and restaurant degree. Spent years in Washington state cooking professionally - worked with Hyatt, learned steakhouse craft at El Gaucho and Black Angus.
US Army during Vietnam, then came back to Thailand a couple decades ago. During the day, I help foreigners with their visa and business needs. Every Thursday and Friday night I'm feeding them on my rooftop. Different kinds of service, both things I love doing.
I opened Sam's 18 years ago, right here at my house. Some people call it Silom's hidden gem. I just call it home. Thu-Fri nights, 5-10pm. You know where to find me.
